The new VL150 SM EVS (supersedes VL100 EVS) provides increased performance with up to 150% torque on low RPM, spindle speeds from 12-3500 rpm and a powerful 0.75kW Motor. 

First, to introduce MT2 and taper roller bearings on this size lathe The Vicmarc mini lathe is in a class of its own when compared to other mini lathes on the market. The VL150 has an optional bolt on extension facility.

The VL 175SH is ideal for the hobbyist. This is a versatile machine because of its 90-degree swivel head facility and solid cast iron construction. The VL175SH bench model is only available with electronic variable speed.  An outboard turning attachment is an optional extra. The Variable Speed Unit for VL175SH is contained inside a strong steel enclosure and can be mounted on the wall behind the machine.
The VL175 swivel head lathe has a 1.1kw electronic variable speed unit, which gives 200% torque in low RPM. On 1:1 ratio, the speeds on low RPM are from 30 to 3000rpm. On 1:3 ratio the speeds are from 10 to 1000rpm. For extra torque, simply change the Poly V Belt to the 1:3 ratio.
